AM - 75 minutes, boat ramp to Old Wendell. Went up Pierson and over to School and Warwick Streets which made the overall time longer than I had planned. Hung in there relatively well, the steepest stretches of OW were in typically poor condition footing-wise. Came out of the slipperiest part of the trail with the legs more sore than when I started, for sure. Sunny and warm, gusty breeze cooled things off a bit.
PM - 35 minutes very easy, Norwottuck RT. Legs quite stiff and sore from the morning, quite rickety at first. Didn't get much quicker from there.

Fri 7/10 - PM run 85 minutes, Walden 25 minutes
Felt better overall today than the past two days, both in terms of energy level and in the legs. Still not free of soreness howerver, just less pronounced and the right adductors hung in better towards the end of the run than yesterday. Downhills not as much of a problem either. Moving more quickly throughout although still not exactly up-tempo. Excellent conditions, sunny warm and dry all day. Great day to be outside.

Thu 7/9 - PM run 80 minutes, Walden 25 minutes
Controlled effort, started with a loop around GMNWR, i.e. the flattest spot possible to keep the strain to a minimum. Feeling the right adductors from yesterday's slip at work, most unwelcome. It took a while to develop, 45 minutes or so, after that moving gingerly on downhills and had to shorten stride as a result. Hopefully not a long-lasting thing. Still moving at a quite relaxed pace overall, but not as glacial as previous days this week. Partly cloudy afternoon, still unseasonably cool. The pond is not warming up as it usually would by this time of year, but it's tolerable.

Wed 7/8 - PM 75 minutes easy
Pratt's Brook to Mt. Hope, back via rail bed. On the positive side, the lingering soreness in both legs from all the volume over the weekend has faded; however, I'm still grossly unfit and this meant another pokey plodding run. Very tired as well, and this contributed to that. As a bonus, I very nearly reaggravated the strained adductors slipping on a wet floor while pushing a fully loaded cart at work. Extremely frustrating to say the least. Still able to run later in the day without it blowing up on me. Overcast and as cool as it gets for this time of year. "Unsummer" continues.
Tue 7/7 - PM run 70 minutes, Walden 25 minutes
Legs still somewhat sore overall from the weekend, as I figured they would be. Felt like the pace got slower as I went along, from easy to very easy. Waited out a vicious line of t-storms before getting started, relatively nice after the sky cleared.

Mon 7/6 - PM 60 minutes very easy, Walden 28 minutes
Legs still stiff and sore from the weekend's excesses, started easy and it got slower from there. Dialed back the volume, for today at least. Another nice day, warm dry and breezy. Easy to get used to.

Sun 7/5 - double, run 1:45 total, Walden 20 minutes
AM - 75 minutes, boat ramp to TV tower via School St, Winchester, Staddle Hill and Bolton Road. Legs wooden and heavy from the first step, but the problem areas on the right side weren't an issue. Muscles in shock from the past two days' pounding relative to what came prior to that. That being said, the run went better than expected esp. the final ascent up to the tower. I was half-expecting to stop and walk beforehand but kept it going smoothly and within myself. It helped that the pace leading up to the last big hill was quite slow, thanks to aforementioned stiff legs. Also helping was the dry conditions, sunny with breezes, excellent morning.
PM - 30 minutes very easy to and from the pond. Again, sore legs at the start, the aquajogging was beneficial with that, they felt much better on the return trip.
