Fri 9/30 - PM 55 minutes very easy

Lincoln woods. Over to the pond and back with the CH. Awfully tired, too tired to put in any extra time ahead of her arrival.

Thu 9/29 - PM 65 minutes very easy

Area 51. Feeling quite tired after yesterday's long day. Some stiffness in right quad.

Wed 9/28 - PM 60 minutes incl. 8x1000

First nighttime track session in a long while. Timed pickups on the roads also a possibility of course but I couldn't bring myself to do that. Tried to run on feel, but that didn't keep me from checking the watch at the 400m mark of every rep. Tried to stay under control the first 800 and pick it up the final 200 of each one. 200m jog recovery. Splits:

Tue 9/27 - PM 55 minutes

Area 51. Moving quicker today than in any day the past week except for Sunday's race. Spry enough to throw in some short fast pickups on the way in. A novel sensation on the whole.

Mon 9/26 - PM 75 minutes very easy

Lincoln woods. Another relaxed jaunt with the CH, which makes a post-race day recovery run all the more enjoyable. Some stiffness in right quad.

Sun 9/25 - PM 60 minutes incl. 5k road race

Another out and back trip in Allston/Brighton, slower than last year but not too worked up about it. In addition to the overweening exhaustion of late, gusty winds were raking all day and from a direction that somehow made it feel like a headwind both out and back. Unable to match the final move made by the whippersnapper wearing a t-shirt and headphones which is how it goes nowadays. Happy to make it though in one piece.

Sat 9/24 - AM 65 minutes very easy

Lincoln woods. Similar route to yesterday but with the kiddies this time. Feeling somewhat less strung out but still not close to well-rested. Nice morning to be outside.
