Wed 4/9 - double, 85 minutes total

AM - 25 minutes "grinding the wind." The usual progression from 6-10 mph. The right leg still feels like it's recovering from last Friday, but coming along nonetheless.

PM - 60 minutes easy, Lincoln woods with hill drills. As I was heading out from the parking lot I had almost forgotten about the morning's run. Cut back on the length somewhat, as expected legs not feeling especially spry. In the mojo department, still recovering from Monday's late bedtime. Right calf not as problematic doing the drills as last time, but the left foot was a bit bothersome instead. The usual early spring winds were whipping along by mid-afternoon, piling up waves on the eastern shore of the pond. Water level not much higher than it was last fall even with the recent snowmelt and 4+ inches of rain.

Tue 4/8 - PM 75 minutes easy

Area 51. Legitimate shorts and t-shirt weather for the first time in a long time, even with a gustsy wind. Fairly tired after getting to bed quite late, mulled over finishing off the back half of yesterday's aborted double but thought better of it. Pace of the run not especially quick but not a crawl either. Both calves tight, right one more so. Pinched TFL not a bother until near the end when I had to negotiate a fairly steep downhill. The usual stiffness in the high hamstring as well of course.

Mon 4/7 - AM 25 minutes incl. 5x2 minute pickups

Treadmill. Originally this was to be the front half of another "quality double" but my social calendar was too filled up in the afternoon to be able to squeeze in anything worthwhile. Even a quick hitter would have made things far too hectic. Right TFL feeling tight and pinched, big trigger point at the moment. Likely loaded up from favoring the hamstring of course.

Sun 4/6 - AM 85 minutes

Lincoln woods with drills on Pine Hill. Moving better than yesterday, which isn't saying much, mainly thanks to an extended stretching/core/rolling/poking/prodding session after yesterday's putter. The right leg was feeling a bit better as a result, although became more stiff in the latter stages. In fact, the pace as a whole drooped after the drills, i.e. the last half hour where I could feel the energy waning. Sunny, clear and breezy day.

Sat 4/5 - AM 100 minutes very easy

Area 51. Length of the run indeterminate as I didn't pay close attention to the elapsed time. The epitome of a slow relaxed putter for sure. Draggin the right leg along for most of it, with high hamstring especially stiff and sore after yesterday's indignities. Rained overnight, overcast and fairly gloomy to start but the clouds parted for the second half of the run which was nice. The temperature rose noticeably when this happened.
