Mon 5/9 - PM 40 minutes
Pressed for time and thus ran for shorter time, again. Somewhat warmer at least. Legs feeling better but no time for a longer more substantive workout.
Sun 5/8 - PM 75 minutes easy
Area 51. Not as far a run as I was planning originally. Pace picked up slightly over time but never got that quick. Weather continues to be terrible.

Sat 5/7 - PM 65 minutes very easy
Area 51. Originally planned to run in the morning while visiting in CT but that went by the boards with heavy rain showers passing through there. The run, when it finally came off, was most notable for the lunch buffet that I had yet to fully digest. This made for a less than comfortable experience even at the pokey pace. Calves somewhat sore from yesterday's workout but could have been worse after all the sitting between then and today.
Fri 5/6 - PM 75 minutes incl. 12k progression run
Longfellow loop. Pressed for time and trying to figure out what kind of timed pickup workout to do right up until I was heading up the street to the start of the loop, when I realized a continuous effort would be both more effective and a more effective use of the limited time available. No time for any kind of nap, thankfully not as tired as I have been lately though so I was able to dodge that bullet. Finally something of a break in the miserable awful weather, warmer and not quite as windy. Still not exactly ideal and somewhat blustery. Tried to hold something back on the first two laps, thought I had gone out too quick early on but the last lap was a pleasant surprise. Splits:

It occurred to me while out on the loop that I could just as easily do splits by km and not miles and have more data points.

Thu 5/5 - off
The nadir of this week's omega block weather pattern, driving rain with gusty winds. Utterly exhausted upon returning home from work after sleeping exceptionally poorly last night. In lieu of running went for a skate on the rollerblades at the local rink, which was interesting if not particularly tiring.

Wed 5/4 - PM 55 minutes easy
Area 51. The beatings continue, fourth day in a row with rain and the sun is but a distant memory. Trying to muster up the motivation to put in something of quality but it simply isn't happening, too strung out and tired to do anything but jog at the moment.
Tue 5/3 - 80 minutes easy
Area 51. Earlier start than yesterday but still took a while to get out the door, with continues gloomy overcast showery conditions not helping one bit. Finally headed out with the express purpose of putting some more time. Very easy at the outset, got moving a bit quicker by the end but not to an excessive degree.

Mon 5/2 - PM 60 minutes easy
Area 51. Pleasant recovery run with the CH in less than pleasant conditions. Spitting rain and gloomy overcast all day. Lots of stops on the way in as well. Legs feeling somewhat dinged up, patellar tendon tender but not aggravated by the low intensity of the effort.
