Fri 8/10 - AM 80 minutes

Mt. Falcon. While I was here four months ago, I had forgotten how tough the climb is from the parking lot to the top of the ridge, over 30 minutes of solid climbing. Once there, wandered around  to the various points of interest including the "Summer White House" site, mansion ruins, and the Eagle's Eye shelter with longish breaks at each of them. Headed back via Castle Trail, a thudding descent with a couple of near misses. Right hammie not quite as stiff as yesterday, SI joint remains stuck though.

Preposterous idea given the remoteness of the location
Thanks to WWI this is as far as the project got
mansion would have had a nice view though
 red rocks and dinosaur ridge
by the fountain, near the gates

Looks fantastic. Think of the boom to the local economy the remote white house would have been. And the hunting! Dang shame I say.
