Sun 2/6 - PM 80 minutes incl. 5k road race

Unthinkable as recently as Thursday that the leg could handle any kind of faster running, which makes this utterly mediocre effort worthwhile. Took a long warmup, 40 minutes or so that ended up at a decent cruising pace. Very flat course but with the last mile or so into a stiff headwind. I was interested to see how much fitness has been lost since the mini meet due to the ongoing inability to train at a high enough level thanks to the stuck SI joint. As it turns out, lost quite a bit. Breathing hard almost immediately after the gun went off, with 5:20 pace feeling a lot harder than usual. Cooldown was very slow, left psoas stiffened up a lot. Not unexpected, but not nearly as problematic as what's been plaguing me of late.
