Wed 4/23 - AM 150 minutes, Grand Canyon
Ran the reverse route of last October's run through the canyon, i.e. S. Kaibab to the river and back up Bright Angel. Ran for two and a half hours of the roughly 3:45 that it took, with the rest of the time spent either taking a break or walking. Just under an hour to get from the trailhead to the black suspension bridge. Longest stop at Bright Angel creek. The walking breaks got more numerous as I approached the top, esp. in the last 3 miles, but I was able to polish off the last 3/4 mile or so running. Better prepared this time plus no following behind slow-moving mule trains on the way down made for a more satisfying effort. The flip side of being able to run all the way down the S. Kaibab is that it's a jarring experience to say the least and destroyed my quads utterly. It will take a while to recover.
