9/12/16

Sun 9/4 - AM 80 minutes including uphill road race

Terrible, flat effort. Like most of the others this summer. Continued inability to get anything resembling a decent night's sleep is absolutely killing me of late. When the going got tough today I was completely incapable of doing anything about it despite the presence of plenty of people to run with, at least by the standards of this sparsely attended event. To top it off I just missed breaking an hour, first time in a long time if ever that has happened. Galling. Decent conditions with fairly low humidity.

Sat 9/3 - AM 70 minutes elliptigo

Back and forth and back and forth between the old place and West Concord. Planned on heading towards Concord center but route 62 entirely closed off.

Fri 9/2 - PM 85 minutes

Lincoln woods. Running with the kiddies i.e. cat herding. Started out quite easy, then a break, then the pace picked up far more than I would like, than a break that was far too long to rustle up all the troops. Finally got rolling again and from there things stayed more or less under control until the last 10 minutes which turned into a race. But not according to the kid racing me apparently. Not as humid as yesterday, excellent evening for it in fact. Toe is a bit sore from yesterday but holding up fairly well.

Thu 9/1 - PM 75 minutes

Lincoln woods. First 45 minutes at an easy clip with the CH. Circled back to the parking lot and at that point I continued on alone and steadily picked up the pace over the next 30 minutes. The fact that I was running at all, and that I was able to have the CH join me, were both unexpected happy surprises. Toe is tender but it appears the worst may be behind me. Disgustingly humid.

Wed 8/31 - PM 60 minutes elliptigo arc

Wayland/Framingham. Good exercise if nothing else.

Tue 8/30 - PM 75 minutes elliptigo arc

Wayland/Lincoln/Sudbury. Decided on the spur of the moment to take in the idyllic scenery of Water Row. Able to get back to home base before darkness fell. A solid ride.

Mon 8/29 - 60 minutes elliptigo arc

Wayland/Framingham/Sudbury. Venting my frustrations over not being able to run for such a stupid reason. A decent workout at least, although the short stride length on the arc can be mildly annoying.
