Fri 8/26 - 55 minutes elliptigo arc
Similar to yesterday but on some different roads in Sudbury. Toe continues to swell and I'm getting the inkling that maybe it needs to be looked at.
Thu 8/25 - PM 60 minutes elliptigo arc
Wayland/Framingham. After the first day of practice which only took a solid 3 hours or so, took to the roads on the modified dork bike. Running doesn't appear to be an option for the near future as the toe is still swollen, looks terrible and doesn't feel much better.
Wed 8/24 - PM 20 minutes plus 60 minutes elliptigo and 16 minutes in Walden
Dork triathlon on my birthday. Also, had another heavy object dropped on my foot very similar to just over a year ago. This time it's the big toe and the prognosis isn't good. As expected, running downhill was awkward if not painful. In general, painful. And stupid. The self-inflicted injuries are always the worst ones.
Tue 8/23 - 1:50 plus 15 minutes in Walden
Lincoln woods. Ran for an hour on my own, at a fairly crisp pace that picked up to a reasonably hard effort. From there met with the CH in the parking lot and we ran to the pond together at a more sedate pace. Not a bad way to do it all things considered. Warm but reasonably dry.
Mon 8/22 - 70 minutes elliptigo
Replaced the tube for the umpteenth time on the rear wheel and it was off to the races again. Except this ride was far from a speedy one, took it easy as I felt like garbage following another too rough re-entry Monday. Not enough time after tire repair for a trip to the pond and back so the aquajogging was cut.
Sun 8/21 - PM 80 minutes plus 20 minutes elliptigo
Lincoln woods. Took forever to get out the door today. Combined with the busted elliptigo (my elliptigo, that is not the team's that I rode yesterday) my options were constrained.
Sat 8/20 - AM 45 minutes elliptigo plus 20 minutes in Lake Cochituate
Trying out the new toy, i.e. bargain model elliptigo. That term being relative of course. Looped around neighborhood side streets in Framingham and the rail trail as well. A decent enough workout especially on hills which bring the heart rate right up. Finished up near noon and it was getting quite hot, thought I might run over to the lake and back but that would have taken too much time plus feeling a bit peaked from the past two days. Hot.
