Sat 5/9 - 80 minutes very easy

Lincoln woods. Inflammation started to calm down by yesterday afternoon, but it took all of three minutes for the familiar sorenesses to return. Had to stop at one point for an extended period to bypass a flooded trail and the pain was nearly unbearable upon resumption of running. It moderated somewhat but was there throughout to one degree or another. Last weekend's foolhardy attempt at a workout did further damage and spread the problem up into the lowermost abdominals, very tender spot at that attachment on the pubic bone as well as within the muscle itself. Went for an evening bike ride, an activity that was much less painful. That and a possible return to aquajogging in frigid Walden are my immediate future when it comes to exercise.

Good luck with your recovery. Just before the start of the Stow Run for the Woods today the Race Director looked for you to introduce you. Coby Horowitz of Nashoba dominated the race.

Alas, I was eating a late breakfast when the gun went off for that race. My entry fee went to a good cause at least. Recovery is glacial at best right now. Horowitz impressed me last year at that race, no surprise he ran under 16:00.
