11/3/16
Tue 10/25 - PM 65 minutes
Area 51. Longer route than yesterday's with longer pickups at a more controlled (i.e. slower) speed than on yesterday's run. Once again a chore getting out of bed from the afternoon nap to get out the door.
Mon 10/24 - PM 55 minutes easy
Area 51. Took a long while to get out the door which made for a pokey start to the run as well. Feeling quite tired after the busy weekend. Not especially surprising. Short fast pickups on the way in.
Sun 10/23 - double, 80 minutes total
AM - 25 minutes very easy. Pre-breakfast shakeout
PM - 55 minutes very easy, Walden woods with the CH.

Sat 10/22 - double, 1:50 total incl. 5k road race
AM - 60 minutes very easy, Lincoln woods. Final Saturday morning run with the kiddies. Took it easy in light of what's coming up in the evening.
PM - 50 minutes incl. 5k road race. Unable to resist the lure of a weekend race held in the evening, a purely marketing driven move but one that worked out for me just fine. Legs not too heavy during the race and felt smooth throughout. Warmup a bit truncated, no issues though once the race started as I was in the clear after a minute or so. Course was mostly flat, including a stretch in the same office park as the other race I've done in Mansfield in the past. Cooldown longer than the warmup.

Thu 10/20 - off
Complete cluster. Thought I'd make up for yesterday's miss by doing a workout in the field next to Mt. Misery, drove there and realized I was running out of daylight. From there on to Concord where I tried to take a nap in the car, didn't really happen. Decided to bag trying to run there and drove home, took a nap in bed that lasted until almost nine. Completely used up at the moment by the ongoing, neverending, punishing schedule.
Wed 10/19 - PM 20 minutes easy
Failed attempt at doing some kind of workout. The fact that I had about a thousand different options swirling around in my head and yet none of them seemed attractive or compelling was a definite clue it wasn't in the cards. Also dead tired after a long afternoon and evening with no potential for any kind of nap.
